When writing a book one has to do a lot of research. This involves, amongst other things, travelling to different places. The series of four books, 'When Times Collide', is basically set in Les Logos which is near Versailles.

 The series of two books. 'The Web of Lies', is basically set in Bakewell in England and in Fairbanks, Alaska 

The Enigmatic Defection is basically set in Berlin, Germany and in Surrey in England

Not Surrey but the heather is as beautiful in both places
